Vacalon Handpiece Mandrels are 104-HP (2.35 mm) mandrels for straight handpieces, designed to securely mount rubber polishers, separating discs, diamond discs, and more for controlled finishing and adjustment. Each mandrel uses a screw-retained clamping design that helps hold attachments firmly in place for stable handling in dental laboratory and clinical workflows.

Choose the right mandrel for your workflow

Vacalon offers four mandrel options so you can match the head profile and rigidity to the discs and wheels you use most.

Standard Mandrel
A general-purpose mandrel for everyday disc and polisher mounting. The standard profile provides reliable attachment support while maintaining a compact working feel.

Heavy-Duty Mandrel
Features a thicker upper shaft than the Standard Mandrel for added rigidity during use. This option is ideal when you want a stronger feel and more stability under load.

Wide Heavy-Duty Mandrel
A heavy-duty mandrel with a wider head design that increases the clamping contact area against the disc or wheel. This provides added support when tightening and helps stabilize wider attachments during use.

Premium Mandrel
Designed with a tapered profile that provides a more refined feel in the handpiece. The tapered shape offers a more premium handling experience while maintaining secure attachment support.

Screw-retained clamping design

Each mandrel uses a screw that threads into the mandrel body to clamp the disc or attachment securely in place. The screw passes through the disc, then tightens into the mandrel to lock the attachment down for controlled use.
