Three New Arctic Grinder Shapes for Tight Spaces and Fine Contouring
10/08/2026
We've added three smaller Arctic Grinders to the lineup: Small Inverted Cone, Small Bullet, and Round Barrel. They're built for the same zirconia, lithium disilicate, and porcelain work as the rest of the Arctic line, just with more access in tight anatomy and detail work.

All three are available in medium grit, German-made, and use a 104-HP (2.35 mm) shank.
Small Inverted Cone
Size: 5 x 3.5 mm
Speed: Optimal 15,000 rpm (Max 20,000 rpm)
A compact inverted cone for controlled reduction where a full-size inverted cone is too bulky. Useful for refining embrasures, cleaning around contacts, and shaping into tighter occlusal anatomy without chewing up neighboring surfaces.
Small Bullet
Size: 2.5 x 7 mm
Speed: Optimal 15,000 rpm (Max 20,000 rpm)
A slender bullet shape for grooves, pits, and other narrow channels. It reaches into detail areas where wheels and barrels won't fit.
Round Barrel
Size: 3.5 x 10 mm
Speed: Optimal 15,000 rpm (Max 20,000 rpm)
A smaller barrel for axial walls, connectors, and general contouring. You can work with the round side of the barrel on broader surfaces and use the rounded end for more controlled shaping. The tighter footprint helps when the Small Barrel is more tool than the job needs.
How to run them
Use light to moderate pressure and let the diamond do the work. Stay in the optimal RPM range for each shape. Heavy pressure and overspeed are what create heat and shorten tool life.
